"The Village honored Bob Smith by renaming Yellowstone Park as Robert "Bob" Smith Park.  Bob served as Village Trustee for 24 year (1993-2017) and championed the establishment and development of parks and recreation services in the Village.

Today the Village has over two dozen parks and offers over 1,000 programs annually.  Thank you Bob for your passion, vision and leadership in enhancing the quality of life for current and future generations that call Algonquin home."

The Naming of this Park was one of the greatest honors of my life.  Knowing that I have helped bring our Community a Recreation

Department and  local parks was one of my biggest accomplishments.
