Meet Bob Smith

Bob grew up in Hoffman Estates before joining the Marines in 1979. Shortly after he returned from service, he met his wife Dianne. In 1987, they moved to Algonquin seeking a welcoming, safe, and growing town to raise their two daughters.

Bob has always been community focused. In 1989 Bob joined the Algonquin Jaycees and was an active member until 1994. Currently a member of the Algonquin Lions

Bob has served as a Village Trustee from 1993 to 2017. In his twenty-four years of public service, Bob helped to create a well balanced community that is welcoming for both families and business.

Bob was part of the leadership of the Village for over two decades. Helping in the growth and development of our Village, to make it the successful community it is today.
